Sheila Salcedo is a licensed mental health counselor who works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, and self-esteem challenges. She has experience supporting individuals from multicultural backgrounds, including the Latinx community, and helps clients explore how culture, identity, and life experiences shape relationships, self-perception, and overall well-being. Sheila takes a humanistic, person-centered approach. She meets clients where they are and sees them as whole people rather than a set of symptoms. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and motivational techniques, and tailors each session to what will be most helpful for the client. Her work focuses on helping people understand patterns, build coping strategies, and make changes that feel real and sustainable. Sheila is passionate about empowering clients to recognize their strengths, develop self-awareness, and take active steps toward growth. She is warm, reflective, and collaborative, creating a space where clients feel heard and supported. She believes therapy should be grounded and real, and that even in the hardest moments there is room for insight, resilience, and hope. Sheila earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. Her training and clinical experience allow her to work with a diverse range of clients across different life stages.

Always helpful in treating my ailment and illnesses! Everyone there is very helpful and on top of things. I have been going here for 4 years and it’s better than going to urgent care or any other facility.
